Ways You Can Give

There are many ways you can make donations to the Calvert Library through the Foundation. Some of them are described below. If you need further information, please use the “Contact us” icon on the home page.

Give now! We invite you to make a gift, now, through our “PayPal” account by clicking on the link below. It will provide easy instructions to assist you in making an immediate gift to your Calvert Library, and provide you with a record for tax purposes.

Special gifts: You can make gifts to the Calvert Library by check or money order sent to the address at the “Contact us” icon on the home page. Please enclose a note providing your name and address so we may send a thank you note acknowledging your gift.

Gifts in honor or in memory of people, organizations or events: You may make a gift in memory of, or in honor of, a person, organization or event by sending a check or money order to the address at the “Contact us” icon on the home page. Please include a note giving your name and address, the name of the person, organization or event being honored, and the name and address of a person to whom we may send an acknowledgment of your gift.

Bequests through your will: Making a gift to the Library as a bequest through your will is a wonderful way to help the library and to be remembered. You can make a bequest of a specified amount, or as a percentage of your estate. Please advise your lawyer that you wish to make such a gift; we will be happy to provide your lawyer any information she or he may need to assist you. The “Contact us” icon on the home page will provide the means of reaching us. Please be sure to let the Foundation know that you have made such a bequest.

Insurance: Making a gift of insurance to the Library is a way to provide a generous gift in affordable increments. You may do so in a number of different ways naming the Foundation as the owner and/or beneficiary of the policy. You can make arrangements through the insurance agent of your choice. We will be happy to provide your insurance agent any information he or she may need to assist you. The “Contact us” icon on the home page will provide the means of reaching us. Please be sure to let the Foundation know that you have made such a gift of insurance.

Equities and other gifts: We welcome gifts of certain equities and other instruments and are happy to discuss this with you or your attorney. Please let us know you would like to discuss this through the options noted at the “Contact us” icon on the home page.

Buy a Brick: Sponsor a brick or more.  Each brick set into the Library patio and inscribed with your message can be a perfect way to honor someone, to remember a loved one, to memorialize a special event or anniversary, to celebrate a birthday, or just to support the Calvert Library.  Just complete the order form and send it with your check to the Library.

Grow the Library Giving Tree: Sponsor a leaf, acorn, stone or mini tree on the Library Giving Tree of Knowledge, for yourself, a favorite pet, to thank a special person, in honor of a grandchild, or for any other worthy purpose. Just complete the order form and send it with your check to the Library.
